12.23.2022 Release Notes
- 1. HHA Submission File Update to Automate Service Location Type
Beginning January 1 st, 2023, HHA will be implementing a new field requirement for the HHA visit claims file. The requirement includes the Clock-In Service Location Type and the Clock-Out Service Location Type. These two data elements are related to the GPS coordinates obtained during a Clock-In and Clock-Out in comparison to the GPS coordinates assigned to the associated client’s home address. The options for the Service Location Type can either be submitted as “Home” or “Community”.
For this enhancement, OnTarget has automated the process of determining the Service Location Types when Clocking In, Clocking Out, and manual entry of a clock-in and / or clock-out. Utilizing the GPS coordinates for a client’s home address saved within OnTarget, the automated process compares the GPS coordinates obtained when a user clocks-in and / or clocks-out with the stored GPS coordinates for the client’s home address.
Any time the compared coordinates result in a location greater than 1 mile from the client’s home address, the Service Location Type is automatically set as “Community”. Likewise, any time the compared coordinates result in a location 1 mile or less from the client’s home address, the Service Location Type is automatically set as “Home”. OnTarget provides a 1-mile buffer to account for potential margins of error when devices collect GPS coordinates.
During manual entry of a Clock-In and / or Clock-Out (manual Timeclock entry), the Service Location Type will default to “Home”. Additionally, any time GPS coordinates cannot be obtained during a clock-in or clock-out, the Service Location Type will default to “Home”. However, editing a Timeclock entry after a user has successfully clocked-in and / or clocked-out and GPS coordinates are obtained, the Service Location Type will be retained when the edit is saved. In this case, the Service Location Type does not default to “Home”.
