11.15.2024 Release Notes

1.    Data Security for Client > Caregiver Specific Information

OnTarget has enhanced the data security for desktop role access by incorporating additional fields associated with client records. Specifically, within each client record, all fields under the “Caregiver Specific information” section can now be configured to determine user access. Depending on the desktop security role configuration, users may be granted permission to enter or edit data, view data only, or be restricted from accessing, entering, or editing the data entirely.

The highlighted fields in the screenshot above are now part of the client data security configuration when setting role-based access. To configure access to these specific fields within a client record, navigate to the “Configure Roles” section under Security (Configure > Security > Configure Roles).

Clicking the “Configure Roles” option opens a new window where you can select a predefined user role. Once a role is selected, the “Data Security” tab becomes accessible. Additionally, several other tabs are available within the configuration window to further customization.

Expanding the “Client” section listed within the Data Security tab allows for the configuration of the listed client fields. The “Caregiver Specific Information” fields are now included in this list of configurable fields.

Located on the right side of the field list are two checkboxes that define the level of access granted to the selected role for each associated field: read-only access, denied access, or full access.

  1. Read Only: When the “Read Only” checkbox is selected, users can view the contents of the fields but cannot modify or edit any data within it.
  2. Denied: When the “Denied” checkbox is selected, users are restricted from viewing, entering, or editing data within the field. OnTarget will mask the data, displaying asterisks in place of the actual content.
  3. Full Access: If neither the “Read Only” nor “Denied” checkboxes are selected, users are granted full access to the fields, allowing them to view, enter, edit, or remove data.

Please Note: Both the “Read Only” and “Denied” checkboxes cannot be selected simultaneously for any given field.
