2025-10-16 Release Notes
Password Never Expires Update
As part of OnTarget’s ongoing efforts to enhance security and align with industry best practices, the “Password Never Expires” setting has been removed from user account configurations. This option is no longer available within the system interface.
What’s Changed:
- The “Password Never Expires” option has been permanently removed from user account settings.
- User accounts that previously used this setting have been automatically updated to follow your organization’s current password expiration policy.
- Password expiration is now consistently enforced across all user accounts.
What This Means:
- All user accounts that were previously set with the “Password Never Expires” option have been updated to comply with your organization’s existing password expiration policy.
- Users who have not changed their password within the defined expiration period will be prompted to do so upon their next login.
- Moving forward, all user accounts will follow your organization’s password expiration rules, ensuring consistent enforcement of password aging policies.
Managing Password Policies:
Administrators can review or update the organization’s password expiration settings by navigating to:
Configure > List Configuration > Global > Edit Company Info
This update is part of our commitment to helping organizations maintain strong security postures and reduce the risk of unauthorized access through outdated credentials.
Service Record Configuration Update
To enhance data integrity and prevent potential scheduling or documentation issues, updates have been made to the Service Record configurations related to scheduling and service notes.
What’s Changed:
The following configuration options within the Service Record—Duration Only, Scheduled Duration, and Group Service—can no longer be modified once the service has been used in schedules or service notes.
Why This Matters:
This change ensures consistency and accuracy by preventing updates to critical configuration settings after a service is actively in use. Modifying these options post-utilization could lead to discrepancies or errors in scheduling and service documentation.
How It Works:
- When a service record is initially configured, you may set any of the above options as needed.
- Once that service is used in a schedule or linked to a service note, the configuration options will become locked and uneditable.
- If changes are required after utilization, a new service record should be created with the updated configuration settings.
This update helps maintain alignment between service configurations and the way services are scheduled and recorded.
Note Template Cloning
OnTarget has improved the Note Template cloning process to ensure greater accuracy and consistency when duplicating configured templates.
What’s New:
When cloning an existing Note Template via the path:
Configure > List Configuration > Notes > Note Templates,
all configuration settings from the original template will now be correctly retained in the cloned version.
This includes the following attributes:
- One Entry Per Key
- Multi-Day
- Multi-Time
- Group
- Apply Time Management
Why This Matters:
Previously, certain attributes were not consistently carried over during the cloning process, which could result in incomplete or inaccurate configurations. With this update, users can now rely on cloning features to create fully configured duplicates of existing note templates—saving time, reducing manual adjustments, and ensuring template consistency across the organization.
Schedule Editing Availability (Issue Resolved)
OnTarget has implemented an update to ensure protection of the integrity for schedule data when linked to timeclock records or service notes.
What’s Updated:
To ensure consistency and accuracy in documentation and reporting, users are restricted from editing certain schedule details once a schedule is associated with a timeclock entry or service note.
Specifically:
- The assigned caregiver, client, service, and service date fields are locked when the schedule is tied to a timeclock or service note.
- Users can still update the start and end times for the schedule, as needed.
- Once the associated service note has been signed, all schedule fields become read-only and cannot be modified.
