Retract Notes Filter for Notes Search Grid

OnTarget has enhanced the Notes Search grid to allow users to filter and identify retracted service notes. A new filter enables users to include or exclude retracted notes by selecting Yes or No. Additionally, a new column has been added to the results grid, displaying a checkbox to clearly indicate when a service note has been retracted.

Service Note and DMS Custom Field Order

OnTarget has enhanced the service note data entry experience by aligning custom field placement with the newly introduced Start and Hourly Repeating custom field types. This update ensures consistent field positioning across service note entry windows, the mobile application, and associated DMS records generated for signed service notes.

Custom field locations follow the order outlined below:

  1. Header
  2. Start
  3. Hourly Repeating
  4. Body (includes the Outcomes grid)
  5. Footer

Note: Custom field positioning is dependent on service note configuration. Not all location types may be used in every service note, which may result in variations to the displayed order.

Client General Medical Record – Data Field Update

New medical-related fields have been added to the Medical > General tab of the client record to support the capture of more detailed medical information. Several of these fields utilize grid-based data entry, allowing for multiple records to be entered where applicable. A summary of each new medical data component is outlined below.

  1. ICD Surgical Procedure and Date

This grid captures information related to surgical procedures associated with a selected diagnosis. Multiple records may be entered.

    • Procedure – Selected from a drop-down list of diagnosis codes and descriptions.
    • Details – Free-text field for additional procedure information; text wraps as needed.
    • Start Date – Indicates the procedure start date.
    • End Date – Indicates the procedure end date.
    • Notes – Free-text field for supplementary notes; text wraps as needed.
  2. DME (Durable Medical Equipment)

This grid allows users to document medical equipment relevant to the client’s care, including vendor details.

    • DME – Type or name of the required equipment.
    • DME Provider – Vendor supplying the equipment.
    • DME Phone Number – Vendor contact number.
  3. Nutritional Requirements

Identifies specific nutritional needs for the client, with a Notes field for additional details.

  4. Functional Requirements

Checkbox selections used to identify applicable functional requirements.

  5. Activities Permitted

Allows users to indicate activities where the client may require assistance.

  6. Mental Status

Uses pre-defined values to document the client’s mental status.

  7. Prognosis

A pre-defined value used to record an overall prognosis assessment.

Delete Schedules – Mobile Application

OnTarget has enhanced the mobile application to allow users to delete scheduled shifts that are not linked to a time clock entry and/or a service note. This functionality is доступible through the ellipsis (⋯) menu on shift cards within the Schedule, Notes, and Action Center modules.

Security Note: Access to delete scheduled shifts in the mobile application is governed by desktop role security. Users must have Full Access to Schedules to use the Delete Shift functionality.

Selecting the ellipsis menu on an eligible shift displays a drop-down menu that includes the Delete Shift option. Depending on the user’s permissions and the status of the selected shift, additional options—such as Edit Shift or Miss Shift—may also be available.

Selecting Delete Shift displays a confirmation dialog asking the user to confirm the deletion of the selected shift. The user may proceed by selecting Yes or cancel the action by selecting No.

Initiating the Delete Shift action begins the deletion process. A scheduled shift may only be deleted if it is not associated with a time clock entry and/or a service note. Shifts that are linked to a time clock or service note cannot be deleted. If a selected shift has an associated time clock and/or service note, an error message is displayed and the shift remains unchanged.

For scheduled shifts that contain multiple service times on the same service date (for example, multi-time shifts) and where those times are linked to a single card, selecting Delete Shift presents a pop-up window prompting the user to choose which specific shift instance to delete.

Clock Out Capability from Sign Note

The mobile application has been updated to enforce the use of Clock Out on the Sign Note page for scheduled shifts that require time clock tracking. This ensures users clock out through the system when available, rather than manually entering a clock-out time.

On the Sign Note page of a service note, the Clock Out button is displayed when the allowable clock-out time window is active. Manual entry of a clock-out time is restricted until one of the following conditions is met:

  1. The user has successfully clocked in and clocked out.
  2. The user has not clocked out, and the allowable mobile clock-out time window has expired.

The Clock Out button is located at the bottom of the Sign Note page. Using this button performs the same clock-out action as initiating a clock out from the Schedule page.

When the Clock Out button is available within the Sign Note page of a service note, users are unable to enter a clock out time directly into the Clock Out Time field. Attempting to click into the Clock Out Time field displays a prompt notifying the user that a clock out is required.

Mobile Application – Force Update

The mobile application has been enhanced to improve update reliability by enforcing updates directly through OnTarget. This ensures users always have access to the latest functionality without dependence on Google Play or Apple App Store release timing.

When a new version is available, users are notified and required to update before continuing to use the application. Access to the mobile application is blocked until the update is completed.

Note: A forced update may be triggered while the application is actively in use.
