Location Reminder
Clocking in and clocking out for scheduled EVV shifts requires users to enable location services for the OnTarget mobile application.Typically, by default, when a user attempts to clock in for a scheduled EVV shift for the first time, their mobile device displays a prompt for the user to allow their location to be captured for the clock in. However, if the user does not choose to enable location for the mobile application any time they clock in and / or clock out, their mobile device does not provide a reminder.
The OnTarget mobile application has been updated with a location reminder that notifies users to enable their location services when attempting to clock in and / or clock out. The notice will appear any time the application detects that location is not enabled for the mobile application.
When clocking in for a scheduled EVV shift for the first time on a mobile device, the user’s device displays a prompt for the user to enable location service for the OnTarget Mobile application.
Users that do not choose to enable location services “While using the app” may experience additional request when clocking in / out for other scheduled EVV shifts.
The mobile application will continue to display location reminder notices for users if location services are not enabled. The reminder provides a button that directs the user to their device settings to enable location services.
The device settings may vary between different mobile device types or models but offer the user an efficient manner to update.
If the user chooses to not enable location services for the OnTarget mobile application through the location reminder notice, an error message displays at the top of the screen to remind the user that location services are required to clock in / clock out.
