ePrescribe Identity-Proofing & Soft-Tokens

As an ePrescribe prescriber, you should have received an email link for IDP (identity proofing) to start the process of onboarding for ePrescribe in OnTarget. You’ll need to follow that link to complete the onboarding process.  Just prior to that, you’ll also need to download the app/soft-token to your phone for prescribing of controlled substances (if you haven’t already).  If you go to the Google Play/Android or Apple ‘app’ store and search for Dr. First and/or ‘Experian’ you should find the app for download.  Just install and follow the prompts for enabling the software token.

Note:  you’ll want to safeguard the ‘passphrase’ that you set while completing identity-proofing, because you’ll need this for the final onboarding process.

Once you’ve completed the IDP process, the final step is onboarding.  This is the part that you and the ePrescribe administrator(s) for your agency will need to sync up on. If you are unsure of who the ePrescribe administrator is for your agency, please reach out to your security administrator.

Note: please see the Knowledge Base article titled "ePrescribe Onboarding" for additional information.

If you are unsure of your default script password, for sending scripts (once you’ve finished onboarding), please reach out to trainingsupport@ontargetclinical.com for those details.

Note: you can always reset your default password from the ePrescribe>Menu (3 horizontal lines)>Options menu in OnTarget.

Finally, here is a video link that should walk you through all of the functionality that’s available with ePrescribing through OnTarget.
