12 How to Add Custom Labels
Custom labels are useful for re-labeling a custom note template in order to meet the specific requirements of the note. The system provides default labels (the titles given to the data fields) specific to the three standard note templates (Clinical, Grid and Medical). These default labels can be renamed in order to satisfy different documentation needs.
Adding Custom Labels
1. Click on Configure
2. Click on List Configuration
3. Click on Notes → Custom Labels
- Click on the Add Custom Label drop-down. Select the note template to be customized from the drop-down.
- Helpful Hint: Note templates must be configured for use by going to Configure→ List Configuration → Notes → Note Templates.
- Select the data field(s) that will be re-labeled from the drop-down.
- Enter a description for the new label in the Custom Label field.
- Click on update to add the custom label to the note template
