10 How to Use the Release Notes Dashlet

The Release Notes dashlet is used for communicating system changes and fixes to users. Note: The management of release notes is handled exclusively by OnTarget. This course will detail the steps for gaining access to the dashlet in order to stay informed of system changes as they are made. Role access is granted under Configure → Security → Configure Roles → Select Role → Desktop Security tab → Expand Release Notes → Release Notes checkbox.

1. Navigate to the Release Notes dashlet.

Helpful Hint: If you do not see this dashlet, ensure that you have access to it by clicking on Configure Dashboard and ensuring that the corresponding checkbox is selected.

2. Locate the release notes line with the most current release date.
   1. any active links to older release notes will show in ascending order at the dashlet.

3. Click on the release notes link to launch the corresponding release notes page.
