02 How to Setup GL Entries Security
GL Entries Security Overview
In order to access and use the General Ledger functionality, security must be configured for roles needing GL Entries access. This course will focus on security configuration for providing access to the different sections and functions of the General Ledger.
GL Entries: Configure Roles
Roles must be configured for access to GL Entries.
- Click on Configure
- Click on Security → Configure Roles
- Select the Role for which you want to allow access to GL Entries.
- Click on the Desktop Security tab
- Expand GL Entries and click on the top checkbox
- Deselect any checkboxes that are not required for the role.
Helpful Hint: Only the top checkbox is required for basic access to General Ledger Entries for searching and verification.
- Click on the Save button
